Child Artist Choice Project

There are a few short years when imagination still feels REAL.

When dressing up can transform an ordinary afternoon.

When a beautiful gown isn't just a dress — it's the beginning of a story.

These years have a magic all their own.

And they don't stay for very long.

One day, you look at your daughter and realize the little girl standing in front of you has changed. She's a little taller. A little more grown up. And somehow, without noticing exactly when it happened, another piece of childhood has quietly slipped away.

I want to create a portrait that someday takes you right back to this version of your girl.

Thoughtfulness, Connection, Playfulness...

Portraits inspired by the richness and simplicity of old paintings, but unmistakably your child. These portraits become TREASURE for your family.

I HAVE THE DRESSES!

The studio is stocked with a variety of dresses for little girls, waiting to find the girl to bring the story to life.

Throughout September, I'll be creating a limited series of individual children's portraits as part of my Child Artist Project.

These aren't traditional children's photography sessions.

I'll choose a gown (or two) from the studio wardrobe with your daughter in mind, and together we'll create something beautiful, whimsical and timeless.

And while the finished portraits may look quiet and thoughtful, getting there doesn't have to be.

We'll talk. We'll laugh. I'll probably be a little silly. I'll guide her through everything.

She doesn't need to know how to pose.

She only needs to be herself.

WHO IS THIS FOR?:

I'm looking for (individual) girls ages 6–12 who:

Wear approximately dress sizes 6/7 through 10/12
Are able to comfortably follow some simple direction
Would enjoy dressing up and creating something special
Are available for a portrait session in September

No modeling experience is necessary.

I'm looking for everyday girls with their own personalities, expressions, quirks and stories.

The quiet ones. The silly ones. The thoughtful ones. The ones who walk into a room like they own it.

I understand the photographer is NOT looking for professional models.

I understand the photographer will be choosing the outfit, props and the location (primarily studio) for the portrait session.
