SENIOR PORTRAITS
One of the biggest milestones of your child's life. You know you want time to just SLOW DOWN so you can treasure these last moments. They are almost fully grown "adults" but they are still your "baby". Celebrate your teen with a next level portrait experience you both will treasure.
You may have been searching through all the "photography" options or you may have been directed right here to this website first. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know... this is a DIFFERENT portrait experience. I may not fit what you have seen before or what you may find when continuing your search. I hope this makes you PAUSE and think about what is REALLY IMPORTANT.
I believe your child is unique. I believe your child should be celebrated. I believe the portrait we create should not be simply for a social media post or to live on phone or "cloud" somewhere. These portraits are meant to be ARTWORK that is viewed again and again and passed down for generations. I believe you should enjoy the experience and the artwork now...but the value becomes priceless when one day you are sitting with your grandchildren showing them what their parent was like.
I don't just think about the NOW... I think about the LEGACY.
Your Senior Portrait Experience begins with a PHONE CALL to get to know each other and make sure we vibe!
My style is high energy, collaborative and lead with vision. We talk about your teens personality and what you are hoping to accomplish with your session.
If we seem like a great fit for each other, I will invite you to select from one of our TWO SESSION OPTIONS (listed below). The biggest difference in your session options is one is for just one day and the other is a multi-session portrait experience. You can select what works best for the portrait story you want to have for your senior!
The next step is the Session Planning Meeting. This is one of the MOST exciting steps because we get to DREAM and create a vision for your day (or days). This is also one of the most important steps because we get to really connect and create a road map for the final portraits. (The Session Planning Meeting is usually in person unless you are traveling for your Portrait Session.)
Then comes the PORTRAIT SESSION DAY! Since we have a PLAN, the day flows easily and we can just relax and have fun CREATING! I will help with final style suggestions, posing and professional lighting to guide your senior to create images you will adore! The best part is you get to be YOU. Silly, reserved, playful, moody, energetic, confident, thoughtful, calm, sassy, charming, cool... this is a safe space and whatever comes up we will just roll though and STILL create something amazing. (Being a teen is HARD, and with years of experience, I know just how to work with all the emotions!)
And MAMA... I GET IT. I have been through a senior year myself. It goes by SO FAST. Now that my daughter has grown and moved out, I CHERISH the portraits that live on my walls. I see them every day and it reminds me of the love I had for her and even as she continues to change year after year, all those versions of her live on the walls of my home. I can't wait to show her children one day. ❤️
